Grades 4 and 5 are proud to present the annual Thanksgiving STEM parade! This year students read Balloons Over Broadway by Melissa Sweet and then created shoebox parade floats inspired by a favorite book or literary character. They they created a moveable, codable base from MDOE provided Lego Spike kits. We tried something new this year and used a gray background. The green screen has been great in the past, but it meant students couldn't use the color green in any design else it would turn "invisible". Lesson learned, the gray screen doesn't have a strong enough color to work the same as a green screen, so we opted for a split screen instead. Technology is all about learning and trying new things!
